Folks we are off in the morning. I officially have a first grader (she just doesn't know her summer has begun)! Prayers needed I am still not feeling well and Jake is acting off. He has an ear infection and Caden has a sinus infection! Please cover us that this trip is everything I wanted it to be and we are all healthy!

Well~We had grand plans of course! But....the stomach virus had other plans. Saturday Taylor did not feel well all afternoon. We were headed to The Hawkins for a BBQ and a little backyard slip and slide fun. 5 minutes from there house she began throwing up. Thank God we brought a bowl in case. So...she is screaming because no Aunt Kimmie's and Jake is screaming b/c no Aunt Kimmie's. Aunt Kimmie to the rescue...Jake went and had a sleepover. His first non-family sleepover! he had a blast!! See her blog for pictures. Though he did wake up at 6:30 which led to a great nap for him the next day. He has not taken a nap in over a year!


Tate is back up and running after a long night and back at school today! We then spent Monday at my folks and at their pool and splash pad. The kids had a blast. Caden LOVES the water and is just like Tater FEARLESS! You had to be 2 steps ahead of him at all times or he would have been head first somewhere.


Then yesterday evening Caden started throwing up and now Michael has it UGH! Remember we leave Friday so prayers PLEASE that we get healthy quickly and Jake and I are spared! Good thing is it lasts only a few hours (a 12 hour thing).

I am so sorry it has been so long! Let's Catch up! Had Mommy's Day Lemonade with Jake a few weeks ago! See picture below. Sweet times! Following week went to a Women's Retreat from my church. Awesome time with friends and got to meet new people! Came back really renewed!

Jake had his preschool program Wed. He does not like to sing or be in the limelight as you can see. He told me that morning that he would get on the stage in the big church and not cry. He was going to be a brave boy! Couldn't ask for more than that! He did great! Didn't sing to much and things were going smoothly until in between songs my son yells "Mommy I have to pee!" RIGHT! I tried to get him off the stage without to much attention. Again RIGHT! As we were going down the aisle he is screaming he is bleeding. Oh great! He had been very fidgety up there and itching his leg. He shows me his leg and hands both smeared with blood. BROTHER! So...we find Mr. Jack and get the first aide kit. Gotta love Mr. Jack. We made it back in with one song to sing and he informs me he is just to tired to sing anymore. BECAUSE THE TWO SONGS HE DID SING WERE SO DEPLETING OF ALL HIS ENERGY! So glad Michael went in work to watch everyone else's kid perform!

So, Jake is done with school. Can you hear my sobs! I am ready for Tate to be home so they can play. He is not my independent player. If I play remote control trains, Thomas, trains or chutes n ladders one more time I may scream!

Count down to Disney HOORAY! This time next week we will have touched down in Orlando! Remember it is a HUGE secret. Kids have no idea we are going. Taylor keeps asking me what we are doing the first day of summer. You think she will like her first day!!?? Bought a new video camera for our trip..sure hope it makes it here before we leave Hmmmmmm!

Music Day

Wednesday Tate had her big music day where I got to sit in on the WHOLE music class. Yes...they sang for the entire hour. She was so excited so I was excited for her it was just a long hour! She made sure she was up front and belted out her songs (of course). I really saw her leadership and independant qualities shine through. During some of the songs they got to move around and dance and be free. It was great to see her fly around the room without the need to be with someone else. There were many others that would flock to her and she was fine with that but sometimes just wanted to be free to move how and where she wanted without any regard to how others perceived her. I LOVED IT! I love that about her she just is who she is and can stand on her own two feet. (Maybe that is why we butt heads so often).

Astros Game

Sorry my posts are so few this week and so much has happened. Tuesday night Michael and I got to go to the Astros game and sit in the Diamond Club WOW!!! That is all I will say about that. Buffet dinner. Food anytime I wanted...peanuts, cotton candy, plenaty of Diet Coke with lime:) So much to choose from. Great weather for baseball and we brought home a win. New player=Berkman! Go Big Puma!!!!

Royally Pissed Off

OK~ I had a really good day today until 4:15 when Taylor stepped off the bus. From the moment she got in the car until now 6:24 PM it has been a roller coaster of emotions. She has had one met down after another.

~Tonight WAS family night. We had planned to eat at JCI (My fave hot dog place b/c we had coupons and it would be a free dinner. Perfect for us on a budget diet...not so much for my WW diet though:) Well, her behavior has been plumb awful and she needed to be punished. My folks are not home and my closest babysitter is gone UGH! So, Michael has taken Jakey Boy out on a boys date. Any other time I would be all for that. Jacob also really deserves this night. He was so excited about going to JCI he even cleaned upstairs w/o any arguing!! He should not be punished for his sister's drama!

So, the plan was to get Cata to come and sit and Tate would pay for the babysitter out of her allowance b/c why should we all suffer and miss family night because she is over tired and out of control! When that option did not pan through I was upset because of course I get to stay home and babysit! She has had a shower and I delivered her dinner to her door and she will remain in there the rest of the night.

The other bad part Caden was going to go with the guys b/c why should I have them all! Well, when he got put in the car he threw a major fit and Michael brought him back in RIGHT!! So...I am feeding him and going to bathe him and breathe him and put him to bed all the while listening to Taylor scream from her room how awful I am. "Mommy I said I was sorry and I drew you a picture and you are SO MEAN!!!!!" She has never dealt with this woman denied her JCI oh the wrath I could really bring!!

So......I AM ROYALLY PISSED OFF!


*** Update: I just made Tate pay me for babysitting her and her brother tonight!! AND...Michael forgot to bring me dinner!

Caden's Phot Shoot

One of my best friends LOVES taking pictures. She took some awesome one's of her kids so I told her I wanted her to try and do Caden's One year pictures. Yes, I realize I am a little late but whatever!

Busy Week

Well~ Let me go back to the weekend! I traveled to East texas with our church youth group for something called "Break Thru" it was for HS kids! What an amazing experience. So much happened. The best way to describe how I felt by Sunday was...as Brig put it...I had a major emotional hangover! I looked and felt like I had been hit by a truck with all the crying I did. It did as much for me as for those HS kids. The last night at praise and woship I cried so hard I could not see!! God was so awesome and so present! I looked at those kids and prayed that one day it would be my kids praising Jesus and hugging and supporting eachother. I was especially moved my the guys who would hug and pray over eachother WOW!!

~I got back Sunday afternoon and Michael flew out Sunday morning. Thus begins "crazy week". Tate and Caden had ear infections this week (of course). But are better now. Michael came home only to have a golf tournie yesterday and a business dinner tonight! Great fun here!

~Friday we are desperately needing a family movie night!!

~ I have officially gotten back in my workout routine. It sure does not take much to throw that off.

~I have had a pretty good week with the kids and look forward to 8PM every night

~Last week we had my moms retirement party. That was fun and she was very glad we were all there. But, mom I do love you, but if you would have commented one more time on what I would wear I would have drop kicked her (in a good way:)
