Christmas Fun

This weekend we had Christmas at Gigi's! The older kids put on a concert and as tradition would have it Gigi jammed out on the piano and she had a helper this year...Jake. It was so cute. Caden just wanted to eat the wrapping paper! The kids were so blessed bgy everyone!!

Sunday night we headed out to College Station to Santa's Wonderland of Lights with my folks. If you have never done this GO!!!!!!!!!! It is so worth the $20 per car fee. The kids had a blast! Taylor really loved that their was an Aggieland section of lights and NO LONGHORN ONE!!!!! Poor Pops! The most amazing section was the one that showed the walk to the cross. There are three croses and a tomb...It shows Jesus in the tomb and then ascending up with angels...ALL

Catch up AGAIN

We have had a time of it!!! The kids and I have been battling the crud for awhile...Jake and Caden got bronchitis and then I got strep....Tate got a sinus infection that lead to her asthma acting up and Caden's new ear tube (got an ear infection in it)....Tate got worse (steroids..better now)....Me better...Jake better....Caden worse (steroids)...back AGAIN today and his asthma is acting up so more meds...found out at his post=op appt. he is tongue-tied (so was I) he will go under and have that clipped next Friday!! Checked both kids and Jake is fine but Tate I am pretty sure is tied! Her speech is also a confirmation I think...so she will go with me next week to the pre-op appt. for Caden for them to check and then if needed clip her in office. I will not tell her ahead of time (as my parent didn't inform me). The doctor will tell her to lift her tongue up and WHAM snip it with scissors if need be! CRAZY STUFF!!!! I am praying this really helps Caden. He does not eat ANY table food. Only gerber baby food. He gags on everything. They said his tongue is severe and he is tied almost to the tip of the tongue so that may help. But since he has formed and aversion to food he will have to be trained. ECI will be out to evealuate him at the end of January as he may need Speech Therapy for them to teach him how to control his tongue!

Other than that we are GREAT!! We are anxiously awaiting celebrating the birth of Jesus and little Trevor!!!!! Not one in the same but we are equally excited about both! (As I know Kimmy is..she looks GREAT!)

Tate and Jake at our church Christmas program (yes my son is the heathen in shorts and crocs....he was not going to do the program and when we got there walked to his class and told us he was...he did great. It was so sweet he walked all the way from the bottom through all the kids to stand by his Taylee and she reassured him and kissed him on the head SO SWEET!!!! She then pushed him to his teacher because she was afraid he was going to ruin the show!)..other pictures our of kids in bath and Tate during a sleepless night drinking hot tea at 1AM during breathing treatments...then some from her Christmas Party at school today! I am Home Room Mom and I am BEYOND glad it is OVER!!!

Reindeer Bandits

It started when Michael put the reindeer in the front yard Saturday afternoon. The kids were so excited to have moving reindeer. He then went on to catch two teenagers trying to steal them Saturday night when we went to bed. I heard him yelling at the front door indescribable words and he chased them down (in boxers alone what a sight)...His plan...to beat them to a pulp...GREAT IDEA HONEY...especially since we are like the one Christian family on our block trying to be the light to everyone else GREAT PLAN...then him and a neighbor patrolled the neighborhood trying to find them! Well, knew idea from my sweet dad chain the darn things to the tree and have them try and take tree and all. So, he did and entrusted the microscopic keys (at 8:00PM) to Tate outside...here comes not so nice neighbor cat....Tate screams in fear..Tate drops microscopic keys....Tate crying because pops is going to be mad...Dad searching with a flashlight so we will not have reindeer chained to our tree year round......Yesterday afternoon mom comes into the picture...."Tate where did you drop them...right here mom...OH LOOK HERE THEY ARE!" Took me 30 seconds! Should have done it all myself to begin with!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday

We had a combined Christmas and belated Gator birthday celebration with the Hawkin's Family Friday night. It has been a long time since we just had some hang time together and some good old "naked time" as well. The kids had their first taste of Christmas that night and we had "pupcakes" for gator-bug!

Jakey Boy: Caught in the Act

OK....Angela just called me.... Angela and I car pool her daughter, Maddie, and Jake to pre-school at our church. Angela is the cool mom who at the end of the day lets them go to the "big hill" at the front of our church and roll down it. Well, today she looks over and Maddie is squatting down and peeing in a whole! When she called me she told me our kids are two peas in a pod for sure! This is how come I was nervously laughing because I pretty much knew what was coming next! So....a little while later our new Pastor..Pastor Ray strolls by and says.."whose kid is that"?...Angela truns to see Jake's pants around his ankles and he is peeing in the bushes! GREAT! Angela made sure to tell him that he was not hers but Kristi Bench's kid! THANKS!! Jake LOVES to pee outside. Though we have had the talk about only in the back yard I am thinking watching Maddie was WAY to much temptation for him to pass up.

We decided that at their rehersal dinner we will give them books on all their antics. They are only three and together have probably filled one up already!!
