Happy 3rd Birthday Jakey Boy

Jakey Boy turned the big "3" last Thursday and we had his party Friday night. The point was since we have the play set all the kids could be outside. Great thought before the monsoons of 2007 hit Texas this summer. It wasn't to bad they did get to play outside for awhile and he got some great boy goodies (needed this big time he is surrounded by pink things). He is set now with more trucks and dinosaurs than we know what to do with.

The biggest mile stone is WE ARE POTTY TRAINED HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He started this weekend telling us when he needs to potty PRAISE GOD. We are headed to the Bahama's in two weeks and I really wanted him to be able to go to the camps in the morning so I could work-out and float the lazy river in solitude and book in hand with my sister-in-law.

The pictures are of him and his "pupcakes" (he did not want a cake). Also, of him opening presents and of him and his future wife Maddie (aka Dawson and Joey to me). They are so funny and she so wears the pants in this relationship. In the one picture my mom is asking him to smile and Maddie is grabbing his face and instructin him to "mile Jakey Boy". It is so funny. The picutres at the end Tate and I went to tuck him in and he had already passed out.

If you know me at all you know it is only fitting that I honor this man today! One, I have been following him with my dad since he joined the Astros. He has always been my favorite and I just love his passion for the game and his family!! Two, I have been in much anticipation watching every game waiting for this big moment. I so wnated to be there when it happened and yesterday after noon my dad's neighbor came over with tickets for me either for yesterday or todays game because they new how much I wanted to be there. Having to pass about KILLED me. But, since yesterday was Jake's 3rd b-day and today his party I didn't figure I could say "Hey Jake Happy Birthday I need to go to the Astros game" but oh was it tempting. I am so excited for him and it did happen on Jakey Boy's birthday.

My sweet dad saved me every article out of the paper today and Jake and I decide to frame the best one in his room SO EXCITING (the only other more exciting thing would be to hang it in my room:)

Mommy and Daddy

The kids spent the afternoon playing dress up. I hear giggles coming from my bathroom and found them trying to dress up like mommy and daddy! I was cracking up! I did Jake's hair in spikes and then he wanted daddy's drawers on (I told him I didn't have enough clips for that)!!!!

Stylin Wee Puppy Take Two

Our second haircut! SUCCESS!!!!! Our neighbor, Fernando, came yesterday evening and cut Caden's hair! Free and cute! He is really getting blond. He did so good just sat there with his paci!

Caden is 5 Months Old

Time is flying and I can't stop it!!! OK.....Heather I know I was reprimanded for not blogging weekly and promised to fix that but I do have a good excuse PROMISE!!!!! I also promise to get better!

Caden turns 5 months old and all heck breaks loose! Caden was sick all last week and Thursday night around 9PM it sounded as if seals were barking songs in Tate's room. Yep...croup! Well, we headed to the doctor Friday and she had croup but they sent us for chest x-rays on Caden and he has pneumonia. He also has RAD (retroactive airway dysfunction...or something to that affect). It basically means asthma in a baby! GREAT!!!!!!!! So, he will be seeing Tate's allergist very soon so we can begin preventative measures. Things actually got worse over the weekend and we ended up back at the doctor Sunday morning and they added another drug for Caden (which is giving him horrible diarrhea TMI sorry). Tate has developed bronchitis b/c she can't get anything w/o it setting off her asthma!

So, we are all home and having a PJ day today and praying for health. We are supposed to be going out of town with The Hawkins Family! We really don't want to have to pull out of that! Aaron was very concerned this morning he ask "Aunt Kris are we still going on bacation". So, cute! I told him to start praying and he told me he has been (so sweet).

So, that was our weekend! Sure hope everyone else is well!!!

Dancin' Dancin' Dancin'

Well...Tate had her first dance recital this weekend and she shaked her stuff and had a blast! She was going to take a break from dance (she wanted to try gymnastics) but after being in the lime light she has decided she loves being famous on the stage. She also wants to keep dancing with her best friend Tara.

She was a real trooper though because her asthma was, and still is, in high gear.

What Are Little Boys Made Of???

Well.....Froggie Tales of course!!! Today Jake found a friend in the backyard! A FROG!!! He terrorized this poor thing until it found its hole and would not come back out. Ever since Jake is constantly going on a froggy hunt. I swear if the frog was brave enough to exit the hole when the back door opens he speed hops back in it!!! I am sure this will be the child I find a frog in his pocket when doing laundry!!!
