The heavnely Father Thumped Me Again On Top Of My Head!!

EXCUSE ME, ARE YOU JESUS?
As you read this think about what you would do!
A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago . They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding.ALL BUT ONE !!! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned. He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor. He was glad he did.The 16 year old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight. The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket. When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, 'Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?' She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, 'I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly.'As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, 'Mister....' He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, 'Are you Jesus?'He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: 'Are you Jesus?' Do people mistake you for Jesus? That's our Destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace. If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit. Please share this... Sometimes we just take things for granted, when we really need to be sharing what we know...GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.Too many Christians are no longer fishers of men but keepers of the aquarium.

The e-mail I sent most of you...OK....I do not normally forward alot of things. Truly I don't read alot of my e-mails that get forwarded to me b/c I just don't have the time chasing the kids. BUT...my dad sent this to me and it spoke to me so loudly!!! Especially this time of the Season when we are Glorifying Jesus' birth and all he means to us.

I am the worst at getting caught up in my day and getting so self-consumed I sometimes don't even recognize me. But, if my main goal in life is to be like Jesus AND equip my children with the drive to want to be like him....oh how I fall short!!! This convicted me. My goal every year, as most of you know, is to be done Christmas shopping my Thanksgiving and I usually do give or take a week. My reason...so I can enjoy the season of Christ's birth to the fullest...so I can not get caught up in the rush of getting it all done and miss out on the REAL meaning of Christmas. The problem is I am done and am still short tempered! I want to be viewed to be Christ-Like..I want my children to WANT to be viewed the same (nnot as Hannah Montana....Jesus). But, if we are not giving that example especially right now during the Season of his birht we are truly failing them.

Sorry...I ranted and you will most liekly see this on my blog as well!!!!

I pray each of you strive to "Be Like Jesus"...I pray I can stop rushing through life and give thanks for the one HE gave me.

Merry Christmas!!!

What I Am Thankful For

Oh...how long this list could be! What a week it has been! Last week I stepped on something and it became inbedded in my foot. After x-rays and cat scans they found nothing THANK GOD because I was one step away from having foot surgery! The doc cut around in my foot for two day about 1 1/2 hours each time. NOT FUN!!!!When she stuck the knife in I said "hmmm that would have really hurt if my foot was not deadend hugh??" DUH!!!!! After the two days of diggin around I was so sore I could not tell what was soreness or pain from an object. Well...she mus have gotten the thing out the second day of digging because the pain sstarted to change to soreness but I can not even tell you how painful it was. It is on the ball of my foot up near where the big toe and ball of the foot meet. BAD PLACE for a mom chasing three kids. I went back and the cut was deap and pretty wide so she stitched me up last Monday WITHOUT DEADENING ME!!!! I shoved my whole fist in my mouth and explained I was NOT responsible for what came flying out of my mouth! I can truly say I have toughened up over the years. Short...thnakful no foot surgery.

......thankful for my sweet and loving husband. We celebrated "9" years together last week and had a great anniversary. He took the week off and we sent the kids away for two days. We ran errands, ate at fun places and saw Dan In Real Life AWESOME movie! He surprised me with an awesome bracelet I was NOT expecting and I will show it off to whoever will look at it BECAUSE he did it himself! Michael is truly the greatest husband, best friend, dad and the best comic relief a girl could ask for. He is the spiritual leader of this household and his walk with Jesus is an awesome example for me and our kids. He loves witnessing and never fears calling people on the carpet (in an amazing non-judgemental way) that has them reevaluating where they are in thier life and walk with Christ! He never gives up and is constantly asking people to come to church with us even when the answer is usually no..he never gives up on being the feet of Christ to them! What a lesson for our children and me!
....I am beyond thankful for my kids. God has given me a spirited bunch to teach me much and keep me forever on my toes. It is never boring around here and yes someone is usually sick!! (They have moved up Caden's new tube/adnoid out surgery to next week PRAISE GOD for that. It is time for him to get good cleaned out ears!) Taylor is so creative and to intuitve for me to handle on a good day...Jacob is so loving and has a heart as big as the house. he also has a love for helping me around the house. We are both very anal in how things should be placed and decorated problem: we have different visions on how things should be therefore ALOT of butting heads. Caden.....WOW!!!!!!!! Words can not even begin to express how thankful I am God put it on my heart to have this little guy. He is truly the calm in our day we like to say "he just kicks it". You never know where you will find him but I promise he will be smiling when you do. I am thnakful that this time last year I was an itching machine and God healed my liver and brought Caden to us safely and in His time (mine would have been at about 30 weeks).
....I am thankful for amazing parents and grandparents we have! Please pray for my dad he got some distrubing results last week and we were told it is either cancer or a shadow cell. pray for shadow cell. I truly can not imagine life without my dad. This has hit me hard. We have always been extremly close and I am truly a daddy's girl. As most of you know he is my call-in babysitter on a given day you will find him here helping me out. I could not function without him! I know God is holding us firm in his hands durning this waiting game. He goes back in Tuesday for more testing!
....for my sweet friends..all of you who listen to me rant and rave (you know I do). You live me and laugh with me ALL the time. Life would be so boring without each of you to help lighten the load of our crazy lives. I love each of you so very much and treasure you more than you could ever know!
MOST OF ALL>>>>>I am thankful for Jesus's mercifulness and forgiveness. For His intervention so many times this past year. If you know our family you know how much he interveened in miraculous ways. I love that he knows every fiber of my being and loves me anyway! I am so looking forward to this holiday season upon us. To remember God's ultimate sacrifice for us and to share that beautiful story of long ago with my kids!!!!!
Oh I forgot...we are a family thankful for an Aggie win! Sorry Dad!

Catch Up

OK...here are random picutres and blogs to cath you up on mu crazy life! Pictures include lots of Caden! Some of him loving his bath (without a bath chair), Caden pulling up (he is everywhere and pulling up on everything), the kids dressed him up, and our neighbor Marcarena was over and she drug the kids around in a blanket (they LOVED it). There is a sweet picture of wee puppies first black eye! He fell at the ENT's office and got this nice shiner and the others are of Tate me, and our good friends Tere, Tara and Joe. We went, along with others from our Sunday School Class, to the Toby Mac concert. Tate LOVED Barlow Girl but was ready to leave when Toby Mac came on. I was still ready to rock out as was sweet Tara and her momma BUT Joe and Taylor were "Party Poopers". We are thinking about printing them some shirts. It was VERY loud though!!!

Jake's New CEO (aka Jakey Boy)

Of course he is the name sake so why not just run Paw Paw out and take over! Watch out people! Michael took this picture up at Jake's one Saturday. Jake loves to go up there and play in Paw Paw's office and play hide and seek in the freezers!!

Today at school I got a note home saying Jake no longer likes PB and Honey sandwhiches (they have been his fav since forever and he had one yesterday??). Anyway...apparently since Monday he has been throwing them on the floor so he does not have to eat them. OK son I get the message. Also, the note home I got stated that Jake's eyes are broken. Ms. Morgan keeps asking him to close his eyes during rest time and he says "he can't"..she asked "why not Jake?" he said "becuase they are broken!!!!!"

Jake "The Longhorn"

My dad asked Jakey Boy if he would wear a longhorn shirt. Jake's answer, "okay!" classic Jakey line. So, now he wants to wear it everyday. I supposse if their season was any better than the Ag's that would be one thing. I told the kids to become bobcats way less stressful!! Michael even took him to the grocery store wearing it, he was being a good sport. BUT...when Jake came down the stairs this morning wearing it (everything was on backwards but he got dressed "hisself") Michael cried to him on the phone to PLEASE OH PLEASE go back to wearing the aggie shirt...Fran is gone so we can sport the colors again!!
The other picture is Jake and his new PJ's SO FITTING!!! He is also in to spiking ALL of his hair. He got a haircut tonight and we bought "Gorilla Snot!" Not kidding folks! His hair has not moved and inch!! Great stuff that gorilla snot. I even have the kids believing they treck into the forest to find gorillas who have bad colds and collect there snot. They so beleive everything we tell them. Tate was skeptical and finally asked for a pinkie swear (everything comes down to a pinkie swear these days) so I had to give in and tell the truth!!!

Gator pic----gator was not herself today. She moped around and finally climbed on my lap and then she adjusted herself under my chin (we were snuggling good I loved it) and within 30 seconds she was asleep. I put her in my bed and she slept for 1 1/2 hours. I felt so bad because I know Kimmy values naps in the afternoon but she did give her benadryl!!!!

Haunted Halloween

Well, everything started off good......BUT....that never lasts.

Here are pictures of the kids on Halloween. Tate was Dorothy, Jake a fireman and Cadena "wee puppy". Wee pupp went treating with us in his stroller until the mosquitos nearly carried us away and Nana took him home and put him to bed.

The kids were having a blast! We caught up with our neighbors so tate and her friend Peyton got to go trick or treating together. Then tragedy struck. We were at the back of our neighborhug (a Jake word) and Tate starts screaming that one of her legs bit the other leg. We
looked at her leg and saw nothing and thought maybe a ant got her but she was SCREAMING that it burned. Then the lady behind us saw a wasp flipping around on the ground next to us! YEP! She got her first sting. The lady at this house was so kind and let us go inside and take her tights off and doctor her up. Well...she isn't allergic so that is good! Now, her tights are off and she is naked under her dress (she thought that was funny) and she takes off running to catch up with the other kids. She then stumps her big toe and did a number on it. She ripped a hunk off and it was bleeding pretty good. So, the people at this house were also very kind as Taylor was SCREAMING her head off once again. They brought out all kinds of things to doctor her up. We were pretty sure it didn't need stitches (it didn't) but we needed better lighting at home to see it and by this point she is just gone! So, we loaded them in the wagon and headed on a LONG walk home.

Jake kept telling her he would kill all the wasps and make them DIE! and that he would go to all the houses for her and get her candy! Such a sweet bubba! But, we already had a garbage bag half full and two bag fulls of candy so we talked him into calling it a night.
