Ok~ Here is video of Jake dancing and he so looks like Farmer Ted from Sixteen Candles. Poor guy and school dances. I need to have some private lessons with him before high school!

First Day of First Grade

I officially have a First Grader! Tate was so excited to start school today she came downstairs at 7:15 dressed and ready to go. We found out last week who her teacher was and Taylor was beyond excited. She got Mrs. Manicom. She taught Kinder last year and was across the hall from Taylors room. Becuase of Tate's asthma on days she couldn't play outside she would hangout with Mrs. Manicom. Taylor actually jumped around like a loon when she found out!

When we dropped her off todayMrs. Manicom was at her door and when she saw Tate just gave her the biggest hug. I told her how excited tate was to get her and she said she was just as excited when she found out she had Taylor becuase Taylor was such a sweet girl and just loved to learn! Could we be any prouder!! Before we walked her in she was like "mom we need to stop and pray for my day." YES WE DO!!!! Love this kid.

She was so big she didn't want to hold our hands and she just walked in and started unpacking her stuff and that was it. The saddest part was Jake's reaction. He was really sad she wasn't going to be here (as was I...who is going to entertain these boys UGH").

I am dying to know how her day is going!!

Vacation with My Family

We went to New Braunfels with my family for our last summer fling! As a kid my family went there every summer until I was in 8th grade! We even stayed in the same cabin crazy! They had remodeled them some but they were old and a little rusty! But...we had a blast! It was fun for my brother and I to go down memeory lane! We were in walking distance to Schlitterbahn and that was awesome. Since we stayed at the resort we got to use a part of the waterpark for free. It just happened to be the part with all the kids pools and wave pool PERFECT! Jake is my non-adventerous one so me, Jake, Caden and my folks hung there. Tate, Michael, Kev and Jen went to the parks for the thrill rides. Tate rides everything the scarier the better (she did not get that from me folks).

Caden had so much fun and is a little dare devil in the water he went down all the slides with no fear. Jake made him go down them first and then we he saw he could do it would follow suit!

We are planning on making this a tradition again. The kids had a blast and were so good! Our last night there we ate at the Gristmill in Gurene YUMMY!!!!!!! Brought back memories from being a kid and from my college days:)

Last Days of Summer

On our last days of summer Wee Pupp's nap mat for school came in. He is going one day a week! He lives on his puppy mat. A puppy mat for our wee puppy!!! So fun! I just hope he stays on it this good at school.

For Jake's birthday he got the coolest gift. A butterfly habitat. We sent off for our larvae and watched the caterpillars cocoon and then morph into their beautiful butterfly's. We kept them a few days and then before big storm that never was and let them go free! They were so beautiful!!

Gator came and visited for a sleepover. We did a kid swap. Jake went to Aunt Kimmy's and Gator came here. Uncle Ronnie took the boys fishing on Saturday and to eat they had a blast! Gator and I went to dinner together and then we went and watched Tate and Brooke Bear in gymnastics!!

2. Harlequin Romance Novels (addicted and can ready more than one in a day) .....these are my escape books...they now even have a Christian section that I like TRUTH: I like the sex in the good ole regular ones
3. I just finished reading sTORI TELLING by Tori Spelling...addicted to her show on oxygen and loved the book (I was just plain nosy on when she got her boobs done. now I can go watch reruns of 90210 and look for the season it occurs:)
4. I have to have "Kristi" time everyday or I am no fun. This includes: sitting on my butt watching endless TV or reading mindless crap. GH is def in that line up every day even if I fast forward most.
5. HUGE Jason/Liz fan on GH even to the point I subscribe to a GH spoiler blog AND watch old clips of Liason on you tube (I am pathetic)
6. UMMMM I don't shower every day SHOCK I know (Kimmy quit laughing)
7. I have some funky allergy right now where I itch all the time on my legs and scalp....need to have that looked at. Reminds me of being PG with Wee Pup but not quite that bad!
8. HMMMMMMM...........I am a hermit and would prefer to be at home than anywhere else. Don't need to get out much except for the gym...my poor kids

Morning Play

The kids have been playing upstairs all morning. Tate FINALLY saved enough to buy herself her DS! Been saving FOREVER for this thing. So her and Jake are glued to it!

Caden is up to his regular mischief and I heard things coming down the stairs. He threw his animal bucket down the stairs and began working so hard putting them all in and then putting himself in. I tried telling him they wouldn't fit but he would just scream at me and continue working and trying every way possible to fit and TA DA! They fit. He showed me!

Happy Birthday To Me (and my momma)

I started celebrating a day early with my sweet girl! We dropped the boys off to Michael's folks before nap time and had the whole afternoon together. Tate got a haircut (she now goes where I go) it was only $10 AND they braided her hair. She even had her hair washed in the sink! Big deal! We then did way to much shopping at Walmart and headed to a quiet house. We girls were beyond excited that we each got a room and TV to ourselves with NO INTERRUPTIONS! We are easy to please I tell ya.

I then took her to gymnastics and Aunt Shelly came to watch and pick her up for a sleepover with Jessie. We went to dinner with my folks and brother last night at Cirro's (Italian food) YUMMY! We celebrated our b-days and had a great time. Michael and I then had an entire night to ourselves! We couldn't decide what to do. How sad is that! We could have done a many things but would have meant spending $$. There are no movies out I want to see. So...we drove around some new neighborhoods being built in our area and came home and watched old home movies of the kids. We cracked up! I had the BEST time!

This morning we were going to get up and take Renee to Gymnastics, work out and then pick the boys up. I woke up with a little sore throat and did not want to budge. I got the BEST gift ever from my sweet man.....he did all the running and picking up and dropping off for once and I had the house to myself for three hours. I stayed in bed...watched "10 Things I Hate About You" (left me being sad Heath will never star in another movie) and drank coffee all in peace! Maci and snuggled in bed and then I got up an moving and actually did laundry alone!

All you mommy's will totally agree what a treat that was for me!

Jake and Michael are now going to have my car washed and do the grocery shopping then we are all heading out to eat at Berry Hill (Mexican) for dinner! What an awesome day!

**After dinner we hung in the backyard and had DQ!!!
