Well~
I am no longer a weather drama queen. That was the worst experience ever. We are still without power and have been home hopping to family and friends. My folks got it late last night so we are here today and this is the first time I have access to a computer. We had part of our fence fall down and some roof leaks but that is it. Our neighborhood was hit very hard and we feel very blessed. There are at least 20 homes with trees in their house. HORRIBLE! After Rita we cut down to huge pine trees because we said if anything stronger ever blew in we would be in trouble what a blessing we did that!
Michale's has been at Jake's from early morning to late at night leaving me solo with the kids with no power and house floating. We are all cranky and tired! Jake's did OK until the last rain and then the water came in. They spent the first day mopping up all the water. They were blessed to loose little product though. They have a generator working their freezers to keep all the food cold (if you don't know Michael's family owns a food distibutuion company). That is a very important thing in this time right now where restraunts are opening and wanting food. Pulling orders is slow but they are all getting it done the best they can. Please pray for them to get power soon so the food stays co9ld and they can get food to their customers so they can serve the community!
Prayers out to everyone!!

Updates on The Bench Crew
Last weekend we had Tate's first Meet. She and Brookie did great! It was awesome sharing the experience with our best friends.
Jake got to bring home "Flutter", the class pet, for a day. They had so much fun together. Tate also got to bring it home when she was in Pre-K so Jake was excited to share that with her. He made him a place to sleep (on Caden's napmat) and took him shopping, with Nana, to Walmart!
Prayers needed for Hurricane Ike! You know I am a "Weather Drama Queen". So I follow this stuff close and now am a little afraid! Prayers are with everyone to be safe! The kids are so excited. They have just cancelled school for Tate tomorrow and they are so excited to have a camp out in our room!!

Caden's First Day of MDO
Today is Caden's first day of school. I BAWLED! I never put my other two in this early but with his speech delays I really thought this would be good for him and well lets be honest for me too!
But, good ole doubts flooded me last night as I watched the slide show on my computer and cried my eyes out. He cried when I left him of course but I just called and he is doing good. He has cried a little but not much they said.
Can't wait to hug and kiss him!
Pictures of him eating yogurt HIMSELF! Big boy now! The other is of him outside his class and with his teacher!

First Soccer Practice
Jakey is playing soccer this year. More for the social aspect than anything. He is my shy little bug and I wanted to get him in something to start working on that. He was not that excited about it and very nervous. He is playing with his best bud Maddie so that helped his nervousness. So, yesterday was the big day, our first soccer practice. I was so nervous as to how he would be. Angela took the kids yesterday to get their socks and shin guards. His are green!!! HUGE! He was so excited he put them on 1 hour before we left for practice. Thanks Angela!!
Then he got to take his own ball to practice which he loved (this would cause problems later when he was asked to share the ball). So he spent the hour before practicing his soccer in the house. Caden was mimicking everything he did. It was so funny!
It was time. I was nervous he was going to cling to me and sit on the sidelines the whole time. If he did that was OK I was just dreading it. When we got there he sat in his chair and you could see him literally sink into himself I was like God please no he was so excited at home.
Time for practice. He did great! He listened and obeyed the coach. We only had the one incident with the ball. But, it was funny after about 40 minutes he was so tired. Instead of running with the ball he was slowly walking. He fell asleep so fast and mommy and daddy were so proud. Tate kept telling him how proud she was of him and I swear that was all that mattered to him.
Now....the fun part of the night....the darn love bugs UGH! I HATE them and swear if I could kill everyone of those little creatures I would. They were swarming us. When I got out of my chair and went back to sit down there had to be over 100 sitting on my chair. Then one flew in my mouth UGH!. They were flying up our shorts and shirts. Angela said when I got home and sat down in the bathroom 200 were probably going to fly out of my pants! GROSS!

Jakey's first day of school YES!
He did awesome! NO TEARS! Tate and I were so proud of him and Maddie, his best friend.
Yes, Tate is home with asthma! Not a fun night for anyone especially her. She coughed her little heart out all night long and there was not much we could do! Went to see our awesome asthma doc today and she is much better. Have I said before what a blessing he is to our family! Called me at 10:00PM last night to help me find ways to help her.
Anyway...Jake walked right into his class with a big smile! He has Mrs. Brewer like Tate did so I think that helps. Enjoy the pictures of him and Maddie outside too funny! I pray he is having an awesome day!

The Weekend
Fun Labor Day weekend!
Friday Night Michael and I went to dinenr with Cyn and Jas and ate WAY to much! Then after Michael and I went and bought the kids a couch for upstairs. Trying to make it more of a fun place for them! They love it. Saturday we had my nephew's first birthday and then Jessie had a sleepover. Sunday was church and a YUMMY dinner and fun time with Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Kimmy, Aaron, Gator-bug and Trevor.
Enjoy the pictures!
